Welcome to Dynamics Physical Therapy
Our focus is clear at Dynamics Physical Therapy—to return our patients to their quality of life. Through individualized, progressive physical therapy, our highly trained team of professionals aims to provide you with the most successful rehabilitation possible. Arthritis, chronic back pain, sports injuries, post- orthopaedic surgery and concussions are just a handful of our treatment areas. No matter how your injury or physical limitation occurred, our therapists will lay the foundation for your recovery and work with you, every step of the way. As a therapist-owned- and-operated practice, Dynamics has three convenient locations in Northern Virginia; Herndon, Gainesville, and Haymarket.
You have a choice when it comes to choosing the right physical therapist,
Herndon: 703-793-4851 Haymarket: 703-754-6955 Gainesville: 703-754-0394
Together, our team possesses decades of experience and extensive training in the clinical setting. All of our physical therapists hold doctorates (DPT)– Dr. David M. Sahley, Dr. Saba D. Shapouri, Dr. Joanne Balint and Dr. Karen Jensen-Vick – have a Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy and Dynamics has a licensed physical therapy assistant (LPTA), Brenda Sale, as well. Furthermore, our providers have extensive specializations. With manual therapy certifications (COMT), vestibular certification, and orthopaedic specializations (OCS) held by the staff at Dynamics, you can be sure that the latest techniques and methods will be used during your treatment. Not only do our therapists foster an environment for learning, by hosting interns and students in the practice on a regular basis, but they can also be found lecturing at local universities and colleges. Our founding therapist, David Sahley, is currently a nationally-recognized instructor in manual therapy techniques for Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars.
Individualized, progressive physical therapy is Dynamics’ approach to successful rehabilitation. Our therapists realize that every person and every injury is unique. We use state-of-the-art equipment, manual therapy techniques and personal treatment plans to underscore our philosophy of individualized care. Most importantly, as a Dynamics patient, you will work with the same provider at each therapy session. This 1:1 treatment and particular attention to each of our patients ensures they will recover as quickly as possible.
An individual plan of care is written by your therapist after your first visit to Dynamics. This treatment plan includes unique goals along your path to recovery. We share your plan with your physician and quite often, send intermittent progress notes as well. This open communication not only enables you to discuss your rehabilitation at scheduled appointments, but ensures a continuum and coordination of your care. It is another key to the individualized, progressive physical therapy that Dynamics offers in optimizing your recovery.
Dynamics has three Northern Virginia offices: Herndon, Gainesville and Haymarket. Hours vary at each location for your scheduling convenience. When holding a current physician’s prescription, you have the right to schedule your physical therapy in any licensed practice. The state of Virginia has a Direct Access program where you can see a physical therapist for up to 14 consecutive business days without a prescription. Dynamics accepts all major health insurances, including: Anthem - BCBS Carefirst, Aetna, Medicare, United Health Care, Tricare, AARP, and Cigna.
